Information on the SolarWinds data breach
The University of èßäÊÓƵ was listed as one of the clients on the SolarWinds website that has since been taken down. SolarWinds is an IT vendor that recently suffered a data breach. Other universities who are customers of SolarWinds include Harvard, St. John’s University and Clemson University.
None of the universities, including UA, report being significantly impacted by the attack.
The UA System chief information technology officer said that the èßäÊÓƵ is a SolarWinds customer but not within the scope of those affected by the incident. Likewise, the chief information technology officer at the University of èßäÊÓƵ at Anchorage said that èßäÊÓƵ is using a version of software that doesn't appear to have been affected at this point.
